GroupM appoints its first chief technology officer

GroupM Australia, the media investment arm of WPP AUNZ, has appointed Cameron King as its first chief technology & transformation officer.
King will lead the media group’s strategy on digital, technology, and data with functional oversight of GroupM’s proprietary technology businesses Xaxis, plista and Finecast, and data platforms including [m]PLATFORM.
He will also provide consultancy services to our clients on digital transformation, organisational change management and business optimisation activities.
“We know digital transformation, technology, data and marketing automation are top priorities for marketers and the Chief Technology and Transformation Officer will play a vital role in giving our clients competitive advantage," GroupM Australia and New Zealand CEO Mark Lollback says.
